Waking up the bottom of the foot with a small rubber ball can help increase circulation and improve balance.
- Step one: find a 1″ – 1 1/2″ small rubber ball. You should be able to squeeze it slightly when pressing with your fingers. If the ball is too hard and you put too much weight on it there is a possibility of bruising, so proceed with caution and at your own risk. But with the right ball this will bring incredible vitality to the foot. (I found mine at a $1 store)
- Stand: use a wall or chair for balance if needed
- Place the rubber ball on the ground in front of your foot
- Carefully step the middle of the ball of the foot onto the rubber ball
a. gently begin to increase the amount of weight on the rubber ball b. if comfortable balance with most of your weight on the rubber ball c. take 3-4 breaths then step off the ball
- Step the middle of the arch onto the ball. (follow steps a – c above)
- Middle of the heel
- Inner edge of the heel (1/2 on and off the ball)
- Inner edge of the arch (Instep)
- Inner ball of the foot
- Big toe,
- 2nd toe
- 3rd toe
- 4th toe
- 5th toe
- Outer ball of the foot
- Outer arch
- Outer heel
- Step off the ball and compare how your two feet feel… legs… hips etc. sometimes a difference can be felt all the way to the neck and shoulders.
